100% Garnacha - 63 year-old, low-yielding (3500kg/ha) vines from two Briñas plots, Peña Las Heces and Sauco, with an Atlantic climate, only produced in years of low yield. 100% destemming, 8 day fermentation, twice daily pumping over and 21 day maceration with grape skins. 12 months in French and American oak, with 4 monthly racking and in concrete egg to increase fruity aroma and volume. Aged 1 year in bottle. Deep cherry red colour with garnet rim. Complex aromas of ripe damsons, plums, cherries, kirsch. Rich, meaty, cocoa, cherry liqueur, herbs, liquorice. Firm acidity with elegant tannins and backbone. Rounded, elegant finish. 14,100 bottles.
