Awards! At this year's OLN Tasting of New Wave Spanish Wines, the Mas d'en Compte 2007 Barrel-fermented White took the trophy for Best White over £10/bottle, the third time in four years that Celler de Joan Sangenis, DOC Priorat, has won this award. Also appearing in the list of the Top 100 Wines were Cal Pla 2006 Crianza, also from Joan Sangenis, and Medievo 2005 Reserva, Bodegas del Medievo, DOCa Rioja. |

to our list. They are located in DO Txakoli de Alava, and produce
txakoli, a less well-known but delightful and refreshing white wine.
