| 100% Garnacha - 60-year-old, low-yielding (3500kg/ha) vines from two plots named Peña Las Heces and Sauco near Brinas. An exclusive wine only produced in years of low yield. 100% destemming, 8 day fermentation with twice daily pumping over and a total 21 day maceration period with grape skins. Aged 14 months in French and American oak barrels with 4 monthly racking and 1 year in bottle. Deep cherry red colour with garnet red on the rim. Complex, attractive aromas of ripe damsons, plums, cherries and kirsch with leathery notes. Rich, meaty palate of cherries with notes of cocoa, cherry liqueur, herbs and liquorice, structured with good backbone, firm acidity, lively with elegant tannins. Rounded and elegant finish. Limited availability: 1,500 bottles.
