Tempranillo,
average age of vines 50 years. Aged 18 months in new American
oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation, bottled
and aged for a minimum of 16 months before release. Dark,
cherry, plum red colour. Superbly intense open nose with aromas
of toasted oak and ripe fruit. Huge wine of enormous depth
and structure with great elegance, soft and rounded, complex
fruit character of blackberries, plums, damsons with refined,
integrated oak, toasted cocoa and vanilla flavours, broadening
out on the palate and leaving a wondrous finish. Production:
26,000 bottles.
