Produced from 100% Prieto Picudo, collected in 14 kg plastic
boxes, with careful selection both in the vineyard and at
the bodega. Temperature controlled fermentation takes place
at 28-29 deg.C with remontage occurring twice daily. After
the separation of the solids by gravity from the wine, it
is then placed in tanks to allow the malolactic fermentation
to occur with temperature control at 18 deg.C. Aged 9 months
in new French Allier. After racking and clarification with
egg white, the wine is bottled and aged 6 months in bottle.
13% Vol.
Intense deep purple in colour. Very powerful fresh cherry, wild
berry (bilberry) aromas, creamy, finely integrated oak, chocolate,
eucalyptus, dark truffle and minerals. On the palate, it is
meaty, bursting with lovely, rich and ripe summer fruits,
aromatic notes and noble silky tannins that support the fruit.
Very smooth and creamy but with a level of acidity that gives
freshness and broadening sensations which linger long on the
finish. A fabulous and quite stunning wine that gives great
and very relaxed pleasure.
